The second annual Trees for Toys project is a fun, charitable program where donated Christmas Trees are given away, free, to the first 100 people bringing an unwrapped toy or gift to the Hans Taal, Century 21 Miller event. The event will take place at 467 Speers Road on Saturday, December 4th, 2009 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. This year, Trees for Toys is focusing on Teenagers (ages 12 - 16) as they are often overlooked. This year’s goal is to provide over 200 teenagers with a gift at Christmas. All toys donated will go to the 15th Annual Salvation Army Toy Mountain campaign and distributed to Oakville and area teenagers. All unclaimed trees will be donated to families in the Oakville area. The Salvation Army and Red Kettle Campaign will be on hand to help collect gifts and give away trees.
