It seems the saga over the police service building is not over just yet, although one Alderman Mark Cosens put a motion on the floor to "construct a new police facility on City owned land on Third Ave", Cosens has historically supported renovating the current facility at 30 St.Catharine Street but explains that the motion put forward had to be written in the positive.  He informed council as a result of his opinion to renovate the current facilities, he would be voting down his own motion, so to move past building a new facility once and for all.  After a long debate amongst council, a recorded vote was requested, but the motion was defeated unanimously.  Chair of the Police Services Board Dave Warden says he's sure the issue will be back on the floor again.
