LCBO WORKERS COULD WALK OFF THE JOB TONIGHT

One more day ... That's how long the LCBO and its workers have to reach a deal ... or face strike, just before the Victoria Day long weekend.  Employees at the government-owned liquor store could walk off the job at midnight tonight.  And we can tell you there's a real good possiblity of that happening.  OPSEU President Warren Smokey Thomas tells us contract negotiations have been going so bad they will be filing a legal claim accsing the employer and teh province of wage discrimintation against female workers.

THe part-time worker issue is also a stickling point in the cntract negotiations.  The LCBO earned $1.6 Billlion in profits last year.  Ontaro Finance Minister Charles Sousa say's he's also hopeful there will be an agreement, although he sas the union representing the workers must realize there is no money for pay raises.
