PROPOSED BILL PASSESS FIRST READING IN ONTARIO LEGISLATURE

A bill has passed first reading at Queens Park, that would give voters some extra power.  MPP for Elgin-Middlesex Jeff Yurek says he agrees with this bill, which was proposed by MPP Randy Hillier.

Yurek says he agrees with the bill because it makes members of provincial parliament more accountable to the people who elected them.  He adds though that the bill is still in its infancy, as it has only just passed the first reading.
