The blades for the new Samsung Industrial Wind Turbine project in Haldimand County will be made in Tillsonburg. Siemens Canada has agreed on a new contract with the Grand Renewable Wind Project to produce 67 blades for the wind turbines.
Siemens opened in Tillsonburg last year and already employs 275 people in the region. This deal is part of a $5 billion dollar deal they have secured with Samsung.
