New Jobs at Airport

Finally good news on the Job front for the Peterborough area. On Tuesday, a new expansion for Flying Colours was announced at their site on the Peterborough Airport. The company will spend about $ 12 M on an additional building of 120,000 square feet and John Gillespie the CEO of Flying Colours stated that this expansion will add from 60 to 100 high skilled jobs on top of the 190 employees
currently at this location.
The event was attended by Mayor Bennett, Jeff Leal, M.P.P. and Economic Minister Eric Hoskins who announced that the Ontario Government through the Eastern Ontario Development Fund will contribute $ 1.2 M, to the project.
This expansion to Flying Colours plus the recent addition of the Sheridan College's Flight School showes that the City's decisions on the expansion of the airport is really paying off.
