In just a few more days school will be out and the kids (and you) will be looking for something to occupy their time. Lucky for all of you there is a wide variety of camps to choose from without having to travel a great distance.
The Grande Prairie Regional College has several different camps with varying age ranges all offered this summer. There are several different sports camps, an outdoor adventure camp, and even a music camp. I have heard positive reviews of the camp in the past and I am sure it has only improved since then. The leaders and coaches are always experienced which allows the kids to really learn and look up to those teaching them. To find out more about each of the camps click the link below.
If your kids want to go to camp and focus strictly on having fun a great camp is Bear Lake Bible Camp. I have heard rave reviews of the camp for years! They have great staff that are there to give the best experience for the campers. Along with the staff they have some great activities to provide a week full of fun. They have a climbing wall, a water trampoline, kayaks, paintballing (for the older age group), archery, and much more.
For those who may be a little more outdoorsy and adventurous I would recommend Peace Country Wilderness Camps. These camps take small groups on horseback up to beautiful scenic views where they develop camping skills and learn to escape our world of technology. They have camps for the young and the young at heart and no horseback riding experience is necessary.
For kids who may be a little younger or not want to be away from home a good option is the City of Grande Prairie Summer Day Camps. They have camps for children ranging from 3 to 10 years old. These camps keep the kids entertained with field trips and all kinds of different activities sure to tire them out.
