CREA and the Competition Bureau

Under the deal ratified between The Canadian Real Estate Association and the Competition Bureau on October 24th, 2010 REALTORS® can offer individual services like listing on MLS instead of the traditional bundling of them all together. Boards and associations also cannot discriminate against brokers or agents who want to offer those itemized services. Real estate professionals should now explain to consumers that nothing has changed in MLS management. Instead, it has been confirmed that discount brokers have the right to offer discount services.  The consumers have the opportunity to choose the level of service so so desire.
