Cost Effective Ways to Improve the Exterior of Your Home
There are many ways to improve the exterior of your home that will not require you to ‘dig deep’ into your pockets in order to give your home a facelift or fresh look. Most home improvements require only your time and a little initiative.
Mow your lawn. It is important that grass is cut. A neat and clean lawn is a great first impression and shows the potential buyer pride of ownership and that the home is well taken care of. Try to maintain your lawn with a weekly mow and trim. Yes, get rid of those weeds!
Trim and prune your plants. Check your garden, which plants require pruning and trimming? Get rid of dry branches, level off plant height and alignment to create orderliness and cohesiveness.
Create or improve your pathways or walkways. Edging the pathway(s) leading to your front door will not break the bank and it will be noticed by potential buyers as they make their way to the front door. Consider using coloured mulch for garden beds, arrange pebbles and stones, or simply place a few annual flower pots to enhance the entrance into your home.
Wash Your Windows. Remove dirt and streaks that have formed over the winter months. A sparkling window shows you care about the little things, and will set a positive perception about the rest of your home.
