Fun Activities for Families in York Region Under $20

With March Break upon us, many families are scratching their heads for ways to entertain their children. Some families have signed up for March Break camps and activities or programs that can be quite costly-especially with more than just one or two children. So we scoured and scraped around to find some low cost activities in the local area to break up a week of staying indoors or at home. Here is a list of fun activities "on-the-cheap" in York Region for families and their children. Feel free to comment below on any activities under $20.00 in your area that we may have missed. Parents, do you need a chance to have some free time and take a break at the end of your busy week? Drop off your kids with us and we will keep them entertained on a Friday night with free play, games, songs and much more! No pre-registration necessary. Participants should be toilet-trained and between the ages of 2.5 – 6. Please supply a water bottle labelled with your child’s name. First come, first served. Maximum 20 participants.

Hop on down to the Easter Egg Hunt brought to you in partnership with the Town of Aurora and the Girl Guides. This exciting event will be taking place on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Aurora Seniors’ Centre. Please participate in this exciting event which starts at 9:30 p.m. and closes at 1 p.m. Therefore you can join in on the eggcitement at any time that works with your family’s schedule.

Enjoy an egg-citing hunt, special games, some activities may include:

  • Craft Making
  • Face Painting
  • Cotton Tail Relay
  • Egg Roll
  • Egg Hunt
  • “Chuck the Duck”
  • Mix and Match Egg Patch​

​​The activities are spread out throughout the Aurora Seniors Centre and outside behind the centre along the Arboretum Trail. Dress attire for indoor and outdoor activities is advised.

 
 Contact  This is a ticketed event and tickets needed to be purchased in advance at either the Aurora Family Leisure Complex-135 Industrial Parkway North or the Stronach Aurora Recreation Complex -1400 Wellington Street East.
