Powerful new search capabilities added to Realtor.ca

Those of you who enjoy following the Toronto real estate marketplace will like the upgraded version of Realtor.ca that has just been released, with many new features and tools to customize your searches and find what you want faster.

The new interface’s features include:

Collapsible panels on the map search.

The current map search is divided into three parts: search criteria on the left, the map in the centre, and property thumbnails on the right. In the new interface, users will be able to collapse either the left or right panels to allow for a larger map.

Drawing search areas on the map with the custom map search tool

You can now draw shapes on the map to refine the geographic areas of interest.

You can also save your searches to revisit later, store properties as “favorites”, and find points of interest such as schools in your areas.

The most exciting feature in my opinion is the ability to do comparisons of up to 5 properties.    Using this function you can compare for example maintenance fees or parking spaces across properties.

Learning how to use the new abilities of Realtor.ca is just one of the topics I will be covering in the upcoming Real Estate seminar on December 10.  Interested to find out more?   Email me at peter.sigurdson@century21.ca or click here to register.
