SAD DAY FOR T.O.!
I was very disappointed when I tuned into the Bill Carroll CFRB 1010 talk show on my way into the office this morning, only to hear that John Tory would not be throwing his hat into the ring for the Toronto mayoralty race. What a sad day for T.O.! I can't think of a better candidate for the job, nor of an individual who's as committed to the city and to the virtues of truth, integrity and transparency as is John Tory. When Mel Lastman came on the air to comment, he was almost at a loss for words. Can you imagine Mel Lastman being at a loss for words?!
I'm not sure if I'm more angry than upset.....probably a combination of both. But Toronto is the loser. I can only hope that another candidate will come along that impresses me half as much as John. So far, that hasn't happened. And being a property owner in the great City of Toronto, I'll have the opportunity to vote.
