Grimsby, ON

Grimsby is a town between Lake Ontario and the Niagara Escarpment. The town was founded in 1790. Residents reside in the area bounded by Lake Ontario and the Niagara Escarpment. The area has experienced a significant amount of growth over the past decade as the midpoint between Hamilton and St. Catharines. Growth is limited by the town's natural boundaries, and has almost come to a stop due to the Greenbelt Plan.

Things to do in Grimsby

There are two marinas in town, and free boat ramps. So come and enjoy a day on the lake, boating, fishing or water skiing. You could also take a hike on the Bruce Trail which also runs through Grimsby, or take part in the Hawk Watch taking place at Beamer Conservation Area. Other things that may interest you are Grimsby's Wine Tours, the Art Gallery, the Grimsby Museum, and in early September the Art Festival. There is also an annual Salmon Derby. You can also take a camping trip at 50 Point Conservation Area.
