Stanley Park, Kitchener, ON, Canada Real Estate Listings and Information

When my wife and I moved to Stanley Park in 1997 we did a fair amount of research on the area. Up till then we had moved quite a bit but decided it was time to put down roots and stay in one location. Kitchener was very important as our son played minor hockey and to stay with his friends that he grew up with, we had to stay in Kitchener.

The most important criteria were the schools as we had three children and wanted to find an area where the schools were good and that they could walk to primary, secondary and high school. Stanley park fit the bill and our children attended Smithson Public School (up to grade 6), Stanley Park Senior Public School (grades 7&8) and then Grand River Collegiate Institute. These schools have a good reputation and are known for their high scholastic achievements.

In the heart of Stanley Park is a shopping centre with all the major banks, a grocery store, gas stations, licquor store, and many other ameneties all near by. Every thing is very convienient to get to including the Conestoga Parkway that can get you to any part of Kitchener Waterloo within a 15 minute drive. From Stanley Park you can also go in three different directions to reach the 401 and if you have to commute to Toronto you can avoid many of the traffic delays that would occur locally.
