Conexus is doing its part this Christmas season to help those in need. CENTURY 21 Conexus, Conexus Credit Union, Conexus Insurance and CENTUM Canada Mortgage Direct are working together to collect non-perishable food items and money to donate to this year’s C95 Food Bank Challenge. Seven donations barrels are at the Circle Drive branch and are filling up fast with donations from both staff and real estate agents.
On December 17th the staff and agents will help “Stuff a Bus” at the Co-op on 8th Street from 6 AM to 6 PM. Conexus will add its donation to the bus and help throughout the day to fill it up. This year’s campaign goal is 250,000 kg of food and $250,000 in monetary donations.
The Saskatoon Food Bank helps 12,000 clients per month and the need for their services is growing. The organization saw a 40% increase in the number of people using their services between March 2008 and the same time in 2009. Conexus is committed to the communities it serves and has community involvement as part of its Balanced Scorecard.
Drop by the 8th Street Co-op on December 17th to help make a family’s Christmas special. Visit the C95 Christmas Food Bank Challenge website at the link below to find out how to get involved.
