Housing Affordability in Saskatchewan

While the cost of owning a home in Saskatchewan has gone up slightly, housing affordability in our province remains average when compared to other parts of Canada.

The increased cost of owning a home can be attributed to strong resale activity throughout our province.

According to Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp. (CMHC), the average home sold on the multiple listing service (MLS) in Saskatchewan was $233,000 (this compared to $339,000 in Alberta).
