Hamilton's iconic James Street North is a gathering spot for creativity

James Street North is the region's destination for artistic and creative enthusiasts. The street is lined with beautiful architecture and revitalized buildings, new galleries and art supply stores, as well as specialty shops, restaurants, and cafes. On display daily throughout the historical neighbourhood is selection of art in a variety of media from near and far.

On the second Friday of each month, the James Street Art Crawl is an admission-free self-guided tour beginning at 7 pm.,when all the shops and galleries are open. independents from near and far also present their crafts during the Art Crawl. You'll find a host of visual media on display including drawings, paintings, printmaking, ceramics, photography and sculpture.

And don't forget - James Street is Hamilton's cultural mecca so indulge in new tastes and scents at the various cafes and restaurants.

The bi-weekly event helps to promote Hamilton, and more specifically the artistic and cultural sector primarily located in the James Street North area, as a destination for those living within Hamilton as well as to those outside of the city's borders.
