Adding Meaning to what we do

In my career I have been called every name in the book, a shyster, an a-hole, a thief....It is hard not to take offence but as Realtors we do understand where the stereotypes comes from-it only takes a few rotten apples to ruin the whole basket.

At CENTURY 21 In Town we have decided to take a proactive and positive approach in our community and have formed a Social Committee. The goal of our social committee is two-fold, #1: to increase commodore and enhance the team atmosphere in our office and #2: To raise money for our corporate charity Easter Seals.

It costs $2100 for us to send one kid to Easters Seals Camp and make a small difference in their lives. Our goal at CENTURY 21 In Town is to raise $21,000 in 2010 and in turn send 10 deserving kids to camp.

We plan to raise the money for these kids in a number of different ways. First will be through inter-office and community events. Our first event is being held Wednesday November 18th "Bowling for Easter Seals." Look for other events in the Yaletown/Downtown area including family skating night, Community BBQ, and maybe even a bachelor auction???? The second way we are raising money for this cause is through donations from our clients. Going back to my opening comments we are not here to solicit but if you feel moved to donate we would gladly provide you with a tax receipt from Easter Seals (and a hug).

From the Easter Seals Website:

"For more than 30 years CENTURY 21 Real Estate Professionals have been supporting children living with disability from across Canada. Rightfully known as the local experts, CENTURY 21 sales representatives from coast to coast participate in Easter Seals events like The Drop Zone and 24 Hour Relay or come up with unique and fun community events of their own design that bring community together to benefit the Easter Seals cause.

The Century 21 Kids to Camp program represents all the community giving activity from across Canada for Easter Seals Canada and this website will act as a portal to share stories about this incredible commitment to kids living with disability in Canada. Learn more at"
