Christmas Comes to Ladner!!

A number of really great events are planned for Ladner this weekend.  Things get started on Friday, December the fifth with the annual tree lighting ceremony in the downtown area.  Music and singing will accompany the event.  Shortly after the tree lighting,  the children's parade begins in the same area with all kinds of youngsters pulling and pushing decorated wagons, tricycles, bikes, and strollers throughout town to the dockside.  Rumour has it that none other than Santa and Mrs. Claus will ride a fire truck in the parade as well!  By the time the parade reaches the harbour the locally owned and beautifully decorated carol ships will be arriving at about 7:45 p.m.   For those who miss the fleet, there will be a repeat of the carol ships on Saturday night at about 7:15p.m.  The fun continues on Saturday morning with Breakfast With Santa at the Ladner Community Centre where, for a small fee, a pancake breakfast will be served.  This is another of the many examples of fun activities planned for residents and visitors to Ladner, a little town with a big heart.  So come out this weekend.  Enjoy yourself.  And a very Merry Christmas to you all.  Posted by George Rust, Century 21 In Town Realty (george.rust@century21.ca  604 685 5951   778 233 9694 )
