You may have noticed some cars parked around Vancouver with trees and plants growing in the front end of them. At first blush, this seems to be quite a novel approach of ensuring success in the 100 mile diet challenge. Just grow fruits and vegetables in your car. That way, you will have food where ever you drive (ironic, isn't it). Although clever in theory, there is one significant flaw. The engine is missing. Perhaps it would have been wiser to grow the produce in the trunk of the car and keep the motor intact. All kidding aside though, a group of people have parked four cars in different locations in Vancouver in order to gain public support for an ubran orchard. It definitely catches one's eye and provokes a curiousity so, at the very least, they should succeed in creating a public awareness in their cause.
