It happened – the North Vancouver City Council just approved the latest development for the City of North Vancouver. Concert Properties will be developing a new waterfront community on Harbourside Drive just south of the North Shore Auto Mall.
This is truly an exciting expansion for North Vancouver!
The 18-building, 1.16 million square foot Harbourside Waterfront development project will built on a 12 acre site consisting of:
- 800 residential units, including 700 for market residential and 100 for affordable rental
- 216,000 square feet of office space
- 55,000 square feet of retail space
- a 100,000 square foot hotel

The mixed use development will carry a LEED Gold standard certification.
Along with 18 new buildings there will be a new one acre City owned park, improvements to existing greenways, and an additional 2.5 acres of public space that will weave between the buildings.
This $400 million project is expected to be similar in scale to the Olympic Village in South East False Creek.
Transit and accessibility are a valid concern in North Vancouver and will need to be further addressed in our opinion. Currently as no public transit is planned for the new waterfront neighbourhood, Concert Properties will implement a new ‘frequent’ private bus service to the SeaBus terminal in an effort to ease concerns over car traffic, parking demand and accessibility.
