Status Quo Does Not Prevail

Vancouver city council has elected, on a trial basis, to close down one lane of traffic (the west curbside lane) on the Burrard Street Bridge and convert it for cyclists use.  In conjunction with this, pedestrians will have access only to the west sidewalk with the east sidewalk to be designated for cyclists as well.  By attempting to make a balanced decision, council has likely succeeded in angering motorists, pedestrians, and even the cyclists this change is intended for.  Regardless, the net result will likely be more grid lock.  For all your Vancouver real estate needs, contact Dan Zlindra, Century 21 In Town Realty, 604 685-5951
