The winter weather has not slowed local real estate.

The incredible clear and cold weather Vancouver had almost all of January came to a sudden end in February when the local mountains began to see snow.  The snow that came was not your normal amount either.  Some local ski resorts received over 5 feet of snow is as many days.  The Coquihalla highway saw several metres of snow and had to be shut down for a few days for avalanche control.  Throughout this process the Vancouver real estate market kept moving along.  Sales began to pour in as quickly as the snow was falling.  Our office was buzzing with activity.  We had a record start to the year and am continuing to build on that great momentum.  With the exception of our drive down from Whistler on Sunday taking more than twice as long as it should, that is the only thing that seems to be slow right now.
