Vancouver Real Estate - Gift Bag Still Full
Season's Greetings ! Just thought I would take a mid month look at the real estate market in Vancouver. Still showing good numbers in both sales and listings. A very nice surprise on the listing side but I suspect there is a substancial number due to expire at the end of the month. In the downtown, Yaletown, Coal Harbour and West End areas - the MLS is showing 984 current listings. Not bad considering the time of year. Maybe Santa will expand the gift list and someone can scoop a new home before the end of the year. I say scoop as this is a great time to look at properties - before we enter the spring market which is just around the corner and comes early to Vancouver.
This is a great week - families planning get togethers - shopping for gifts (who doesn't like the buzz of downtown) - the odd snowstorm to delay your flight - lost baggage (did I lock the door before heading to the airport ??) - yes we do it every year. Make plans to finish up early but end up on the last day - looking for one LAST thing ! Nice to know that as of the 21st - the days start to get longer !!
Here is a break down of sales - as of today for the month of December. Downtown showing 15 sales, Yaletown in at 19, Coal Harbour with 2 and the West End moved 6 properties. More to follow as we proceed.
I wish you all a safe holiday season and all the best for the new year. If you have any questions about real estate in Vancouver - contact me anytime.
