Vancouver's Shangri-La gets 'trumped' by a storey

Vancouver's newest skyscraper development project, tagged with the Trump twist, will top the downtown core by one storey over the recently built Shangri-La. This $360 million project boasts a slightly higher projected cost and an additional storey,  to total 63 floors of hotel and residential prestige. The twisting tower is being developed by a team of two developers, the first being Holborn Group. This developer has an environmental focus of simplicity and luxury, recent completed projects include; Cloverdale's Compass, Squamish's Thunderbird Creek, Yaletown's Ellison building and Main Street's Domain Building. You may say something like 'those aren't skyscrapers'. Well they're not and that's why TA Global Bhd is part of the team too. With big building experience and a hotel background these two savy developers should put together one impressive building to complement Vancouver's cityscape.

The Georgia Street tower, at the Bute Street intersection, will include 218 residential suites and 147-room luxury hotel. The hotel will feature a pool bar, restaurant, champagne lounge, Trump Spa, banquet room and conference centre. Residences will range from 644 to 2,117 square feet, and with the penthouses between 3,500 and 4,400 square feet.

After my many years in the hotel industry I've seen the good and the bad of hotel living. But if this gorgeous tower turns out anything like the absolutley jaw-dropping Shangri-La then it's time to start planning early! Sales will open in October, so call or email me today to be a part of this stunner!
