Standing tall amongst False Creek North's premier waterfront community is Waterford.  A statue of elegance, architectual beauty and exclusivity this 129 unit building offers suites and views that must be seen to be entirely appreciated.  Upon entering Waterford for the first time you will be impressed by the classy decor, the meticulous condition and the friendly concierges.  The concierges impressed me from the beginning.  Always smiling, curious about newcomer's and all 5 can confidently address every occupant of Waterford by first name, 100 percent of the time.  There is something to be said about these guys as they reflect the security and condition of the building and complex.  

Unlike many developments in Vancouver's Downtown, Waterford was designed with funtion in mind.  The suites are spacious, the layouts make sense, and the outdoor spaces are large enough for bbq's and a small patio set.  Waterford offers 5 units a floor, meaning you only have 4 neighbours on each level, and suites that start from 1075 sqft and only grow larger. 

Who lives in Waterford?  Talk about an eclectic building if I've ever seen one.  My Sellers were investors from Vancouver Island, the Buyer of their suite is a local Vancouverite and downsizing from a house in the Cambie neighbourhood.  You'll find a bit of everything in Waterford - some absentee owners, investors, some renters, some young working professionals.  The building is primarily owner occupied (approx 70%, also rare for DT).  On one occasion I bumped into a young man in the elevator with 4 tennis racquets, he couldn't have been more than 8 or 9 yrs old.  I struck up a conversation and it turns out him, his sister and mom and dad live in 1 of the large 3 bedroom suites.  A family living in a home amongst the city and sky!  Every ethnicity in Vancouver is in this building - from Caucasian, to Asian, to Persian, to Russian, from young to old.  This is another aspect of the building I love.

Built by Concord in 2003 and offering the remainder of the 2-5-10 warranty, purchasers can rest easy knowing that they are buying quality and a well cared for complex.
