I was born in Lindsay and grew up in Valentia, Lindsay with my sister Mary Catharine and parents, Jim and Cathy.
I attended Leslie Frost and Jack Callaghan Public School as a child before moving on to I.E. Weldon Secondary School. I was in the French Immersion program.
I moved to Hamilton after high school to pursue a Diploma in Advertising and Communications from Mohawk College. Upon completion, I decided to further my education and earned an Honours degree in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario.
I spent summers working at Royal Paving and Fleetwood RV in Lindsay and after university worked at Honda in Alliston. In 2006, I moved to Ottawa for the opportunity to work for former Minister of Environment, Jim Prentice. I served as Executive Assistant to Minister Prentice at both the department of Industry and Environment.
In the spring of 2010 I moved home to pursue a career here in Real estate.
I have a keen interest in this community and try to participate in as many volunteer and professional organizations as I can. Currently I am a board member on Lindsay Unites. It is a group of I.E Weldon and LCVI alumni dedicated to raising money for local organizations through sport. Most Recently we raised over $7000 in 2010, over $15000 in 2011 and over $17000 in 2012 with a charity alumni Basketball and Hockey game. All the proceeds were donated to Jumpstart.
I have also been helping on the Humane societies board of directors as their vice-president.
From 2006- 2010 , I worked in Ottawa for the Honourable Jim Prentice as his Executive assistant.
I am currently volunteering on the Humane Society Board and Capital campaign team as well as a board member of Lindsay Unites.
I am currently a member of Wolf Run Golf course and the Lindsay Curling club.
