Community Involvement

I have been an active member of The Miracle Club of the Sick Kids Foundations. Currently I am involved in fund raising for this cause as well. In addition, I am also a regular contributor to Amnesty International. Amnesty International was founded in 1961 by British lawyer Peter Benenson. He became angry after reading a report about two Portuguese students who had been imprisoned for raising their glasses in a toast to freedom. Amnesty International is an independent and democratically-run organization supporting human rights all over the world.

Additionally, I am currently campaigning to improve the facilities at the Armadale School in Markham. This is a growing community that is facing challenges in both facilities and the outlook of residents in the neighbourhood. Other than dealing with local politicians and the bureaucracy at the City offices, I am also involved with the School Council in educating the parents about the importance of their involvement for the betterment of their neighbourhood.

I am also a voting member at the School Council for Boxwood Public School in Markham.
