2010 marked a lot of things for me and a lot of them were my firsts. In 2010, I surpassed my previous year's performance as a REALTOR, threw a halloween party for complete strangers (not strangers anymore), took possession of an investment property, lost a friend, enrolled under two professional trainers and met a celebrated Canadian Olympic Gold medal winner athlete Clara Hughes.
Clara won a gold, silver and two bronze in Olympic speedskating. Two bronze in Olympic cycling and was listed 14th in CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) Sports 25 Most Influential People in Sport 2010, 1st in women on the list as 1 to 13 are all men.
Clara and I met at the Century 21 Canadian Conference 2010 held in Metro Toronto Convention Centre from 1st October through to 3rd October (I doubt she remembers it... lol) I found her speech to be most motivating of all the speakers and the most authentic. It came from her heart and truly speaking, it wasn't even a speech. It was her narrating portions of her life. That was the best. Here I am with her and her medals, which she graciously handed them over to me to walk around with in the crowd. Although, I must admit that I was in a state of panic, holding on to her entire life's hard work.
In 2010, new online platform was introduced on CENTURY 21, which I am sure will re-invent the way people search for and buy real estate over the internet. I look forward to an exciting 2011 and hopefully with the Grace of God, the partronage of all my loyal and new clients, 2011 will be even better than 2010. I wish you, your family and friends a happy and prosperous 2011.
