Oakville's real estate market is in a healthy state as compared to the same time last year. The total number of sales decreased slightly from 1510 in 2013, with 1591 as of the same time in 2012.
The average sale price however increased from $706,085 in 2012 to $755,154 in 2013, representing an increase of 6.95%. In addition, the median sale price in 2012 was $600,000, increasing to $631,000 in 2013.
Aziz Kanjee, 2013 President of Omdreb said, "The summer is traditionally a busy time of year for our members and the numbers released today reflect the continued competitive nature of the market this year. The number of overall sales since 2012 has decreased, however, median sale prices in Milton and Oakville both increased in the month of June."
