Having recently had to fly from Ontario to Saskatchewan for a family emergency I did a lot of research on flight prices and times of flights. Having researched all the sites that claim to get you the best deal I actually found that going straight to the airlines website is the best and most economical way to purchase your ticket.
On our outgoing flight we flew with WestJet. The plane was cramped, the airline staff were very busy as there were only 2 of them for the whole plane. My tv on the chair in front of me did not work.
On our return flight we flew with Air Canada. Lots of legroom (which if you know me is not a huge concern but a nice bonus), better choice of tv shows and up to date movies, more airline staff who were very attentive and just an overall better flight. It also arrived 1 hour early.
You might be thinking that the Air Canada flight must have cost more. Actually is was cheaper and was a direct flight. All the WestJet flights had stopovers so we would have had to sit at Calgary airport for 3-4 hours.
We would have flown Air Canada both ways but outgoing flight times did not accommodate overseas visitors who were joining us.
All in all well done Air Canada you get my vote......
