Robert Burns is probably best known as a poet, but the man was of many talents including a farmer. Work of Burns both poems and songs that are well known  include A Red, Red Rose; A Man's A Man for A' That; To a Louse; To a Mouse; The Battle of Sherramuir; Tam o' Shanter, and Ae Fond Kiss. He was known in Scotland as simply The Bard and is still one of most popular figures in Scotland.

While we celebrate Robert Burns birthday on the 25th of January, a little surprising fact is we sing one of his compositions every year. The man wrote Auld Lang Syne which is the music we hear on New Year’s Eve that is sung to usher in the New Year.
