Welcome to my website!
I've been struggling to write something about myself for a few days now, why, because I'm new to this. So I keep asking myself why would you want to put your biggest investment in the hands of someone new?
Why, well the answer is, because I'm new.
I am driven to succeed, I have a dedicated work ethic, and these are just two of the qualities I am known for from my previous successful career. I have worked in an environment where I excelled in areas of attention to detail, organization, meeting hard deadlines in extremely stressful situations that effected public safety. After 20 plus years in this environment, I've decided to look for a career where these skill are an asset to the clients I work with. That client is you!
When my family moved to this community I enlisted another fabulous agent from Century 21 Executives Realty when helped us find our home and have loved every moment. I want to help you and your family find that special home, that makes you feel the way we do!
Whether buying or selling, I will be with you every step of the way. Communicating with you, having those hard conversations, and working through any issues that come up with resourceful, positive solutions.
Real Estate is my second career and I am so excited to be able to apply all the skills and attributes from my previous career to a positive rewarding use! The majority of my 20 plus years in the criminal justice system were spent in Northern BC, before relocating to Vernon.
The north was a great place to start raising my children but as they grew older and became more aware of the opportunities missed by living in a small community, we moved. My daughter Julia, in grade 9 and my son Austin, in grade 11 were excited by the possibility of being in a school that offered a variety of different classes, sports and opportunities. My son graduated and stated that his one wish, actually regret, is that we didn't move sooner! My daughter will be graduating from Clarence Fulton Secondary in 2020.
Since relocating, I have volunteered at Fulton Secondary when and where I can, helping out with the sporting teams, graduation preparations and social events. Austin completed minor hockey with GVMHA and Julia started playing soccer the moment we arrived, and continues to play on her school team and NOYSA.
The first year we lived in Vernon, we spent weekends and the majority of the summer being tourists in our community and took in the attractions. We learned what an amazing area we live in, from the beaches, the hiking trails, the skiing, we felt like we had won the lottery! I hope to share this feeling and sense of 'home' with you.
Our first February in Vernon we learned of Winter Carnival, and all the events that take place within the community. Each year, we look forward to trying new events, whether with friends or family there is always something of interest.
During the summer months, each community has annual events, for example Funtastic in Vernon, the IPE in Armstrong and Lumby days. All with their own schedule of events and activities to take in and explore.
