Moving up. Need more space for your expanding family. Downsizing. Empty nest. Divorce. New career. Marriage. Death of a family member. Loss of a job. Retirement. Newcomers to Oakville, Ontario, and Canada.
All of these lifestyle changing events can happen to any one of us, and they all change our lifestyle to some degree. I will assist you in your new needs, keeping in mind the emotion involved. I will help make the steps of selling and buying as easy as possible.
First Home Buyer:
Buying your first home is exciting and nerve wracking. It can also be elating and disappointing. There are lots of options for first time homebuyers, and we will find what is right for you. The key is to be open-minded with respect to your vision of your future home -- it may not be in the perfect location, or the perfect size, or the perfect layout. It is only your first, so don't expect it to be your "dream home" just yet -- that will come with time. Ensure you have a pre-approval from your lender to give you a good baseline of what you can afford. I will help you through all the steps in finding your first home.
There are lots of options that I can help you with once you are ready. Interested in upsizing to allow for visits from the family and grandchildren? Looking for a second home investment? Or, are you looking to downsize? Have you thought about other options?
It is a huge responsibility (and effort) maintaining the physical and financial upkeep of your home. If you are ready to move on for social and safety reasons, there are many options open to you. You can downsize to a smaller house, perhaps a bungalow with fewer stairs, to a seniors' residence, to a condo, or to an apartment. I can provide you with some interesting options around the Oakville/Burlington area.
If the task of moving and packing seems daunting to you, I know some local companies who can do all of this for you, including packing up all of your belongings, arranging an estate sale, to helping you purge what you really do not need, arranging movers, and to unpacking at your destination, just as you would have done it yourself.
If you are not yet quite ready to move just yet, I can provide you with some options for helping you improve the safety features of your home to reduce the risk of falls and accidents.

The thought of buying or selling your home can be intimidating, whether you are a young professional, a couple with a young family, or approaching "seniorhood" in retirement. Let me help take the stress off of your shoulders by determining exactly what you are looking for and doing the leg work for you.
I would be happy to assist you with recommendations for your current and future needs throughout the process. I can provide recommendations for home inspectors, stagers, mortgage brokers, lawyers, etc. As well, by knowing the area, I can provide you with ideas for after your move, such as services you may require in your new neighbourhood, schools, shops, libraries, medical needs, restaurants etc.
Janine is excited to help you in the future with your real estate needs!

Outside of learning about real estate, I enjoy many activities, including hiking (especially in the fall), biking, travelling, dog walking, and learning new things across the spectrum, from conversational Spanish, to educating young children, to medical courses. I am a member of the Bronte Tennis Club and have enjoyed a game of golf or two.
I am understanding of the high emotion and essence of time that can be involved in these phases of life, and will assist in making the process go as smoothly as possible, keeping you updated throughout the process.

Janine grew up in Oakville attending E.J. James P.S. and Oakville Trafalgar High School (back when it was on Reynolds St.). Oakville is one of her favourite places given its beautiful and varied residential areas, lush parks, top quality schools and restaurants, and its quaint downtown, as well as its proximity to the lake, Toronto, and Niagara.
My family and I are supporters of Prostate Cancer Canada, in memory of my father, as well as the Canadian Diabetes Association. We also participate in the annual Strides for Life, which is to raise funds and awareness for cystic fibrosis.
