My name is Jason Challenger and I'm with Century 21 Pinnacle Realty which services the City of Kawartha Lakes. I have grown up in this area and consider it an honour to help promote it.  This region boasts many beautiful lakes and landscapes that can only be trumped by the quality of the people that reside in it. In my opinion, success is measured by the number of positive relationships created with clientele and professionals touching my industry.  With the infinite amount of information available at a consumers fingertips the window to capture their attention is getting smaller and smaller.  Attitude, dedication and having the necessary tools to do this is vital. Communication with colleagues and other professionals gives the ability to provide clientele with the information they need to make informed decisions. This, plus the use of technology, photography, strategic analysis and valuable experience is essential in ensuring that my clients get maximum results.  With this said, I try to adhere to the following rules on a day to day basis.

  2. Treat your competitors very respectfully
  3. Make interacting with clients easy and pleasureable
  4. Remember in any trade, both sides must see value
  5. Create a positive relationship and what you want is now possible

No Look Book Policy

When mass information is available at someone's fingertips, the window of opportunity to capture a buyer is short and can close as quickly as it opens.  In todays's world, time is the only true finite resource. When a showing request is made, it is clear that there is interest in the property.  However, the schedules of Buyers, Sellers and Myself don't always match up to make a showing possible.  As such, I have made the adustments in my business to make sure that a Buyer can see a listing within their schedule by implementing a NO LOOK BOOK policy. Utilizing the resources of Century 21 Pinnacle, the three office locations of  Bobcaygeon, Lindsay and Beaverton, and the 50+ sales representatives employed there, a sales representative will be available to show my listings upon request. A Buyer will never be turned away due to my schedule.

First Time Home Buyer Tips

 

When buying a home for the first time there are always alot of questions.  The largest being "how do I go about buying a home?".  A good real estate representative knows exactly where you are coming from and should have a plan in place to help you. 

This plan will consist of:

  1. Trying to know you and what your needs are and what your future plans are.
  2. Showing you homes and pointing out things that a less experienced person may not be able to see.
  3. Mentally preparing you from the start of the offer process, conditional acceptance and closing.
  4. Introducing you to quality Home Inspectors, Lawyers and Mortgage Professionals.

Remember your real estate representative should be your team captain and coach.  However do not be afraid to ask questions and to be open with them,  This is vital to your happiness and well being.

Professionally, my interest is to see every business in the City of Kawartha Lakes thriving. The customer is always best served by companies that are strong and vibrant. Businesses are made up of members of our communities that contribute back to it on an everyday means. 

Even by just buying groceries, enrolling children in sports organizations and clubs, passing ideas along to each other over the dinner table.  The key is to participate as much as possible. Interaction with others is the key. 

There is no such thing as a successful person that is self made. Those people that are successful have created relationships, where someone has opened a door or window to create an opportunity for them.

Personal Background

I have resided in the City of Kawartha Lakes for the majority of my life.  My mother and father have operated a small hobby farm just outside of Lindsay.  Throughout my life I have participated in numerous sports provided by the great club associations in our community which includes hockey, soccer and rugby.

Personal Interests

  • Fishing in any of our many lakes
  • Dining in many of our great restaraunts with our community
  • Playing some of the numerous sports offered within the City of Kawartha Lakes
  • Boating on the Trent - Severn Waterway
