Century 21 and Easter Seals want you to send a Kid to Camp!!!
Ask yourself the question, "what is your favorite summer memory?" Not all kids have the opportunity to participate in summer activities - kids with disabilities need constant care and specialized equipment that their families cannot always afford. This year, I'm taking part in Century 21 Kids to Camp, a campaign with Easter Seals. Century 21 realtors have been asked to raise money to send kids with disabilities to camp - and I've signed up! I need to raise at least $2100 to send one kid to camp.
Easter Seals is sponsored on a national scale by Century 21 Canada. Locally, there is a camp in Winfield,BC located 15 minutes north of Kelowna,BC in Lake Country. Having personally visited this camp really has had a profound impact on my life. I take walking, talking and many other things for granted each and every day. At the Easter Seals Camp Winfield there are children who do not take anything for granted! The funds that are raised by all the agents in our office help to fund a week of camp for children with mental and/or physical disabilities that would otherwise not be able to go. This free week of camp takes some financial burden off of the families that are already burdened financially as it is. To see the smiles on the campers faces and hear them talk about coming back "next year" when their week has barely gotten under way really says it all. I am a proud supporter of the Easter Seals and look forward to a long relationship with them.
