Phase one of Kelowna's review of its Official Community Plan is complete.
The first phase of the review focused on land use and development.
The final phase, which will begin in early 2009, will look at future land use, transportation networks, service plans and financing strategies.
"We are in changing times and legislation is evolving as well at the provincial level. The mandate of this OCP review is to hard wire sustainability into all policies," says consultant Peter Russell, in presenting phase one findings to City Council Monday.
"The City has signed on to the Climate Action Accord which has implications to the OCP."
