What would you like to see in the Rutland Town Centre when it comes to streetscape?
The public is invited to an open house on Thursday at the Plaza 33 Shopping Centre from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
As the Rutland Town Centre re-develops over the next 20 years, planning initiatives allow for an increase in density and the provision of public amenities such as new parks and open space, recreational corridors, and a transit exchange.
A streetscape plan is intended to complement these initiatives and help fulfill the vision of Rutland as a thriving urban centre.
Concept plans will be on display to generate discussion.
Staff from the City of Kelowna and Urban Systems Ltd. will be on hand to answer questions.
As a resident of Rutland myself I have looked at some of the artist renderings at Plaza 33 and have found some of them to be quite intriguing! I really liked the park idea located by the Value Village off of Highway 33. It has a distinct look and feel to it, as a matter of fact it suits the area perfectly. Whether you live in Rutland or elsewhere in Kelowna it would be worth checking it out for sure!
Happy Holidays!!!
