Sell your Kelowna area home now or wait until Spring?
Is there any real benefit to waiting to sell your Kelowna area home in the Springtime?
You or someone you know may be asking: "Is the Winter a good time to sell my home?" Although there is a common perception that the Spring is the best time to sell, there are some lesser known factors that cause this to not always be the case.
1. Although Spring is the time of year when more homes come on the market, there is a demand for homes year round. With fewer homes on the market, the result is that there is substantially less competition for those homes that are on the market in Winter.
2. Fewer "tire-kickers" or recreational shoppers are active in the Winter. Buyers active in Winter are generally serious buyers. They are looking for a home because they need a home, not because the sun is shining and they need something to do.
3. Homes show well in Winter. Snow on the yard, lights on the home, decorations and a warm fire in the fireplace all work together to create a showing experience that cannot be duplicated at any other time.
These are just some of the many good reasons to consider selling your home over the Fall and Winter months. If you would like to know more please contact me at any time!
