Tolls gone from Coquihalla Highway in BC's Interior
Some may say "Well it is about time!" while others are yelling "Finally!" at the top of their lungs. The Coquihalla Toll Highway (Highway 5) has long been a contested issue amongst those that use it regularly. The reality is with the toll now gone, businesses from Hope to Kelowna and all points in between will benefit. Arguably, the freight industry will have the most to gain on the financial end of things. I for one intend on using the Coquihalla as I head down to the Lower Mainland to celebrate this coming Thanksgiving with family and friends.
Thank you Premier Gordon Campbell for putting an extra $20 in my jeans in October!
