In Saskatoon, residential home sales in the city were up 21% and the average number of days on the market was less than a year ago. Both are indicators of an active market environment. An increase in listings meant that people looking for a home had more houses to choose from.
The communities surrounding Saskatoon also saw an increase in residential sales of 21% from May 2010.
The first ever Saskatchewan Real Estate Forum held at TUC place last month attracted people from every sector imaginable from across the province and a high number from out of province. Conference goers were there to find out what the buzz is all about in Saskatoon and why so many people want to buy and invest in Saskatchewan. This is only the beginning of what we will see in the real estate market in the months ahead.
