Food, fun and adventure!
As a resident of the tricities all my life, I decided to create this section to highlight the hidden gems of the city. Look here to find the highlights of the area, all in a short concise guide for you.
The Tri Cities have many excellent eateries from fine dining to pub food, dining in restaurants, and outdoors on the patio on a fine sunny day or night. For night life , there are two main clubs in the tricities, located side by side in Waterloo. The downtown of Kitchener-Waterloo also offers The Boathouse, a little pub alcove in Victoria Park, featuring live up and coming bands, and in Uptown Waterloo you will find The Princess Cinemas offers you excellent cinema movie choices which are not mainstream.
If its recreation and nature you are looking for then try hiking or walking many of the trails along the Grand River with diverse wild life and picturesque scenes along its bank. The Grand River offers some great fishing holes and if its family swimming you need on a hot summer day, look for some of the great swimming spots in and around the cities. If you want to find some great outdoor exercise and like to bike, hardcore mountain bikers, novices and families alike can try the The Hydro Cut which offers miles upon miles of world class mountain biking trails for beginners and experts.
