Proud member of the Picton Fire Fighter Association

The Picton Fire Fighter Association consists of 20 members from many different and diverse backgrounds but all with the same desire to serve and give back to this great community in which they live in right here in Prince Edward County.  The Association raises money throughout the year by means of car washes, selling Christmas trees, and individuals, groups, charities, and families in need.  Some of the charities and County associations that are supported by the Picton Fire Fighters Association are; a local children's summer soccer team, the Dolphin Swim Team, local charities include Camp Trillium-Garretts Island, Canadian Cancer Society, Prince Edward County Hospice, Sick Kids Hospital, CAS Christmas Angel Fund and the CAS Christmas Toy Drive.  For the past five years Camp BUCKO has become a charity that is close to our hearts and a special camp for kids.  Camp BUCKO is a Burn Camp for Kids in Ontario.  Camp BUCKO is just like any other summer camp for kids, the only difference is that this camp deals with the needs of children that have been burned.  Dealing with both physical and emotional injuries this camp meets these challenges and gives the children a safe and fun place where kids can be kids.  Raising money for this camp is and will be a benefit to these children now and forever.  The Picton Fire Fighters Association donated a month's stay for a local family at the Ronald McDonald House in Toronto so that the family could be together at Sick Kids Hospital with their burned children.
