    A self-directed, two-day celebration, with pancake breakfasts, tours of maple bushes, sugar shack demonstrations, music, dancing, shopping, fine dining, family activities, and so much more.
  • Waterfall Tours (Easter weekend)
  • Authors Festival (April 13 to 17)
    Enjoy readings by authors of fiction, nonfiction and poetry plus panel discussions.

    Prince Edward County’s twice annual prix fixe culinary celebration. The County’s top restaurants will offer three-course culinary creations for $30 or $35. Don’t miss your chance to dine on divine food with a down to earth price tag.
  • Walleye World Fishing Tournament (first weekend of May)
    Pickerel/Walleye season opens the first of May.  The Walleye World Fishing Derby is a live release event the first weekend in May. Trenton Kiwanis started it 30+ years ago, now it’s one of North America’s largest fresh water sports fishing weekends. Big fish to catch and big prizes to be won.  Bay of Quinte is known as the Walleye Capital of the World.
  • Terroir  (May)
    Prince Edward County’s wine celebration. Wineries serve their own unique county-produced wines, featuring the new spring releases.
  • Terroir Run (May 27 & 28). 11k run among the winery back roads.
  • County Antique Show & Sale 
  • Spring Birding Festival (May)
    To celebrate the amazing spring migration, Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory (aka PEPtBO) hosts this annual informal event in the great outdoors. Everyone is welcome and every day you can enjoy guided walks in Pt. Traverse woods with local birders starting at 8:00 a.m. and watch morning banding demonstrations. Weekend activities include workshops on birding, insects, wildflowers and photography with a hospitality tent where visitors can post sightings, share information and just hang out.
  • Quarter Moon Coffeehouse in Bloomfield (May-Sept)
    The anything-goes, everybody-welcome open stage coffee house returns for another summer of music every other Thursday evening.
  • Quinte’s Isle Bluegrass Celebration (May 26-29)
    Featuring local, regional and national bands, bringing together the finest in bluegrass music.. Join us for a weekend of music, food, jamming, fun and friendship. Oh, and don’t forget your fishing rod! Each year a local charity will be honored and a donation will be made from the profits.
  • Great Canadian Cheese Festival (June 4 & 5)
    The best cheesemakers from P.E.I. to Vancouver Island offer cheeses to taste and buy at the only pan-Canadian showcase of artisan cheese.
  • Quilt Show (June – biannual)
    Juried competition, draw, silent auction, featured artist.
  • Chapel Service at the White Chapel (June)
    You are warmly invited to the annual service in the chapel where the earliest settlers sang their hymns – a chapel that has been a place of worship longer than any other church of Methodist origin in Ontario.
