Kitchener Waterloo Luxury Homes Sales Take Flight in January
Sales of million dollar luxury homes in Kitchener-Waterloo started the year with a bang. There were 2 million dollar MLS sales in Kitchener in January with one in Deer Ridge and the other in Hidden Valley. Buyers were driving a hard bargain as successful sellers received just 92% of their asking price on average.
Kitchener Waterloo saw million dollar luxury homes start 2011 on a record pace with 9 MLS sales by the end of June. However, sales stalled in the latter half of the year with just one in September to end the year with 10. This followed a record-setting 12 million dollar MLS sales in 2010.
There are currently 16 luxury homes for sale on MLS in Kitchener Waterloo for $1 million or more. Of these, 3 are new construction and 13 are resales. Prices range from $1,049,000 to $4.5 million and square footage go from 2500 to 7500. Available neighbourhoods for buyers include Westmount, Kiwanis Park, Deer Ridge, Hidden Valley and Chicopee.
