Despite newfound angst, the Kitchener Waterloo real estate market continues to favour sellers. There were 205 residential MLS resales changing hands in January. With just 769 MLS resale properties available, the absorption rate for Kitchener Waterloo is 27%.
Regular readers of this Kitchener Waterloo real estate blog know that an absorption rate of 20% or greater signifies high demand or a sellers market.
As mentioned above, there is some fear and anxiety creeping into the market. Barely a day goes by without someone nervously asking me about where the market is headed.
