I bring to the table my 20 years+ as a marketing and advertising professional as well as my personal belief that customer service and communication are both key components to building lifelong relationships with my clients, whether as buyers or sellers.
Education and Knowledge
As a professional realtor, there are certain expectations to update my industry education to keep my knowledge current and up-to-date. I am keenly aware of incorporating new online/paperless methods to reach potential clients. I have an eye for marketing and advertising and am acutely aware that achieving great customer service results in both bringing a client to the table but retaining that client lifelong. Beyond customer service and communication, both a strong sense of ethics and a strong sense of professionalism are the baseline in my day-to-day business dealings. You’ll find me networking wherever I go, whether it’s in line at Starbucks or at the hockey rink or lacrosse field.
My personal interests run the gamut from being a ‘crazy’ hockey, lacrosse and football mom to being the team manager of my son’s hockey team. I love biking, gardening, baking, tennis, travelling, and spending time with my family, playing games or just relaxing by our outdoor fireplace. Our favourite games are Cribbage, Poker and Euchre.
Involving myself in the Community
I am involved in the community on a regular basis, from volunteering for a number of years at the Doors Open Oakville event to being an alumni Big Sister (Eva and I have been ‘matched’ for 23 years!) to being involved as a volunteer on a variety of committees at the Board Level (MLS, Bylaw, Events (including Gala and Golf), and Scholarship to name a few).
A little about me!
Being an army brat has it pros and cons. Having always found myself in new cities, such as Winnipeg, or in small towns, such as Holberg (tip of Vancouver Island), I've had the choice of either becoming a part of the community and learning about where I was living or just being house bound. Well, I made the choice of discovering, making new friends and memories wherever I've been. As a result, I have an immense amount of compassion and empathy toward my clients, transitioning the selling - buying process. Buying a home or selling are probably the biggest stresses of a person's life - I aim to make the process as smooth as possible (and to add a certain amount of fun to the process)! I love to call Oakville home and have a certain propensity to helping my clients find their way around town - finding everything from a medical clinic to bakery/butchery to the local library or sports facility! That's why they call me the 'Oakville Real Estate Connection'.
