HELPING OUR NORTHERN NEIGHBOURS
OUR FAMILY HAS BEEN MATCHED WITH A FAMILY IN KUUJJUARAAPIK, QC
The family consists Mom and Dad, Christopher, Lousia and Pauloosie and a two month old baby. This family regularly takes in foster children and they feed drop-ins all of the time, so whatever we help them with, they in turn help others!
Nobody should have to pay $28 for a head of cabbage, $104.00 for a case of water, 9$ for three apples or be forced to buy expired food anywhere — let alone in Canada. Prices in the remote north make feeding their families almost impossible. The lack of fresh food and the fact that most canned items are expired, often for a year or more makes healthy eating almost impossible.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
People can either donate one box once, or choose to sponsor a family, or a group can sponsor a family together, meaning they regularly send care packages. There are no restrictions on what people can give, although many cater their boxes to the family they've been matched with.
