Vacation or Staycation?

So... this Summer has been B-E-A-U-tiful weather here in North Bay & Area, and I have yet to enjoy it until this past weekend... in mid-August. I don't want you to feel bad for me, it's all good, I am actually really happy about it. I'm not going into any "poor-me, poor-me" rant.

Everyone in real estate knows how it is in the Spring and Summer, when all your clients want to put their home up for sale, and when the buying and selling is HOT. But the weather is as well, and we want to enjoy some of it.

When it's busy, it's busy and that's ourtime to take advantage and work. So far, it's been a slow easing into the business since May, and I have yet to be extremely busy. I have worked every beautiful weekend, while friends have gotten some R&R, and gone on adventures.

However, this weekend, I had the pleasure of relaxing at the cottage in Temagami, and how blessed did I feel to be there!

It was an amazing weekend filled with sunshine, swimming, boating, tubing, friends & family time, and of course....

WORK.

I finally got busy! I had calls and texts, and e-mails coming to me left and right, and I had to come back to town to get some work done, but it was well worth it! I finally felt like I was an active member of the real estate community and that I was giving it my 100% while still trying to get some R&R.

It was also the first time that I found out "I had to work" and was not upset about it, which gives me a good indication that I have made all the right choices on my career path and that this is definitely where I need to be.

This made for an exciting Monday Morning back to work, with a whole other set of goals on the horizon.

I will just have to live with the fact that my vacations may turn into staycations more often than not.
