About Me

Welcome to my personal page - and I hope you like my background story...

I'm a Newfie - born in St John's just after my parents emigrated to Canada.  But, I only consider myself an "honorary Newfie" since we moved to Ottawa when I was 3, and then Toronto when I was 5.  Growing up in a condominium neighbourhood just south of York University, I started working part-time as a teenager in the restaurant industry.  I went to George Brown College in Toronto where I earned my Diploma in Hospitality Management back in the late-80s (geez, I'm old) and eventually my career transitioned from restaurants into hotels.  That was my primary career until 2007, when I took the courses to get my real estate license.  I've now been a full-time REALTOR® for over 10 years!

My spouse and I bought our house here in the Bramalea area of Brampton in 1998. We love our neighbours and the neighbourhood too. Brampton is a great place to live & work - I truly enjoy the diversity of people's backgrounds, learning about each other and our various paths in life.

Brampton is home. At my own home, I enjoy spending time in the kitchen - I love to cook! I make a wicked hot sauce (it's great on scrambled eggs) and I love trying new recipes by watching YouTube videos then adapting the recipes to my kitchen. Several of our friends like to cook too - and it's always a pleasure hanging out with friends over a great meal.

Now for a little bit of info on my life in real estate...

As you already know, I've been working as a full-time REALTOR® for over 10 years.  I'm excited about this industry, and I absolutely love helping my clients make the right move.  Sometimes the right move is to stay where they are, and other times a move is needed due to a growing (or shrinking) family, lifestyle changes, job changes, family dynamics, etc.  My hospitality background has given me a number of skills which I use to create a successful real estate transaction for you.  These skills include:

Negotiation - I work hard on your behalf to get you the best overall deal.  Price is just one factor, I also take into account the terms and conditions that benefit you most.  My people skills come into play very strongly when negotiating, as I firmly believe in a win-win situation - both sides need to feel happy with the sale/purchase.

Market Intelligence - I am always improving my knowledge of the current market dynamics - both locally and economically.   It is important to me to have a full understanding of the neighbourhood surrounding the home you're selling or buying - and I make sure to transfer that knowledge to you so that together, we make the best decision for you and your family.

Customer Service - I make it a point to be available to you - well, maybe not at 3:00am!  Seriously though, I'm proud to list my contact details at the top of this page - including my cell/mobile number.  When I'm selling your property, I ensure that you are kept informed of the activities I'm completing to get your house sold.  And when I'm helping you buy, I make sure to listen carefully to your wants and needs - and I'll keep us on track to find your perfect home.

Community Involvement:

Part of Century 21 Millennium's community involvement is time and money spent sponsoring families in need at Christmas and throughout the year.  My contribution is both monetary and time/effort.  Each month, I pay a certain dollar amount towards a sponsored family so that they can have a decent Christmas.  And, at Christmas time, I take the time to help deliver the food and gifts to the school of the family that we've sponsored.  This is all anonymous - the family doesn't know who is sponsoring them.

And now, you've read both my personal and my business profiles.  If you're ready to have a chat about what I can do to help you make the right move, call/text me at 416.819.2509.  I'm ready when you are.
